Meet Fen and Pebble

Same species, different experience.Fen is a Giant Runt pigeon who is trying to perform professionalism at all times. It's only kind of working — but Fen is trying very hard anyway.Pebble is a rock dove— the bird you've walked past six times today without registering. No costume, no accessory, no tell. The camouflage is flawless. That's the problem.One can't hide despite trying. The other can't be found despite being right there. They're a bonded pair, and the only two who know the full story: Fen's composure is a performance and Pebble's invisibility isn't a choice.Together, they're the whole picture of what it's like when the world decides how visible you get to be.

Meet Fen

Meet Pebble

Present!...ish.Pebble is a rock dove — the most common bird in any city, the one nobody looks at twice. Small, iridescent grey-green at the right angle, utterly forgettable. Pebble exists in the background of every scene, watching the world from a ledge everyone walks past.The mask never slips because nobody knows there's a mask. That's not a superpower. It's the loneliest trick in the book.You probably walked past Pebble on the way here.

Meet Hutch

Threat assessment: ongoing.Hutch is a Polish rabbit — small, soft, wide-eyed, and absolutely certain something terrible is about to happen.Named for the breed's old name, the breed's old common name. Contained, domestic, safe inside. Always scanning. Always listening. Ears up.The worst hasn't happened yet, which, if you think about it, just means it's still coming...and Hutch has thought about that.Hutch has thought about that a lot.

Meet Roux

Hyperfocused on something else entirely.Roux is a red squirrel — warm orange, pointy-eared, and absolutely locked in on something that is not the thing they were supposed to be doing.Named for that gorgeous coat and moving with the kind of chaotic energy that looks like carelessness but is actually twelve projects running simultaneously, Roux is constantly losing track of acorns. It's around here somewhere. Probably. It'll turn up.Either way, Roux is building something here!

Meet Miu

Welcome; please don't touch anything.Miu is a Siamese cat. They're precise, calibrated, and operate at a different sensory frequency than everyone around them.Named for the ancient Egyptian word for cat, Miu has Ma'at energy: order, balance, and a single ostrich feather on the other side of the scale. Everything should be perfectly level — or else.The world is too loud, too bright, too inappropriately textured, and just too much in general. Miu has a system for making it work though.They would appreciate you not disturbing it.

Cannot today. Maybe tomorrow. No promises.Virginia is a Virginia opossum — tired mom energy, nocturnal by necessity and feral by choice.Named for the species' Latin name virginiana.When the world is overwhelming, sometimes playing dead isn't intentional. Virginia is fully aware of everything she still needs to get done while appearing completely inactive.Sound familiar? Us too.
